unfortunately tools have been made and being sold on telegram channels, one of which was forked using this on github, i saw a demo posted by a seller who showed it could hack quite a few so yeah the threat is real and could affect a majority of cams that have not been updated after 2024 -

yeah the major vulnerabilities that allows this is to happen is CVE-2025-31702 and CVE-2021-33044/CVE-2021-33045 , seen how its done so i know, TIGOS idea of creating accounts using those trolls accounts is good if you want to still use p2p, might be wort a shot. -

You got hit by all of them all, delete them all and change the pass for your main admin login, also update your camera software, i noticed they can crack even the most sophisticated passwords.. -

old SmartPSS (v2.003) cannot connect to Dahua NVR starting today, but SmartPSS lite can.
to add to the bug, the recent version of SmartPSS Lite refuses to playback a majority of cams running on IP's as well, even HD cams, it will claim there is no recording but when I run the updated SmartPSS 2.0.0.3, its able to read the cam and recording and the playback option works, infact 8 of...- comets

old SmartPSS (v2.003) cannot connect to Dahua NVR starting today, but SmartPSS lite can.
recent updates of SmartPSS lite or the latest version of SmartPSS 2.003 they "FORCED" us to update to now no longer allows NEW IP connections as well, they only want you to use serials which does not work with Older cams, i'm forced to use an old russian software called Polyvision CMS to run...- comets

yes on telegram there are groups who sell these hacked cameras for money, i tried reporting them to telegram but they didn't do anything, i saw some of those account names in 2 of my cameras and promptly removed it but one got added back the same night so they may be using some script method.. -

Latest SmartPSS 2.003.0000004.1.R.230310 refuses to run new cameras added via IP/port (37777)
so they rolled it back to an older version, the only change i can see on the May version is that they added a new P2p server from dolynksecurity.com but somehow broke New IP being added... I hope they fix the ip issue cause ti seems like they want everyone to only add P2P which a lot of cameras... -

updated SmartPSS Lite to the most recent version (SmartPSSLite_MultiLang_Win64-Install_IS_V1.003.0000006.0.R.240517) and now it refuses to run new ips added, basically the same bug as the last version of SmartPSS they fucked up, thanks, this is why people use HIKVISION..i will be recommending... -

Tried using SmartPSS Lite, but it refuses to playback some of the older cams even though playback is working and to add to that, it has a dumb window size setting that can't be fixed (1280x800) while my laptop is 1366x768 so yesterday the top part somehow moved off screen to the top and no... -

This isn't really a solution though, also i noticed SmartPSS won't allow another "instance" of it to run, remember both use the same folder on the /users/public/ section.......also since i know this bug affects another person, makes you wonder why Dahua didn't try to fix this before releasing... -

I didn't know that was possible, i.e to add more than 64 cams, someone said after you add 64 cams, it won't allow more so never used it, might give it a try though i prefer using the last version of SmartPSS cause it fixed a bug i mentioned earlier with the previous 2.0.2 version of taking more... -

SmartPSS Lite is not an option cause it has 64 cams limit, more clients will be added soon (SmartPSS has 256 cams limit), i did use old SmartPSS (2.0.2), if you didn't know, they no longer runs Serial Numbers as their P2P servers have been turned off..so old SmartPSS ran IPs only, new SmartPSS... -

NVR is not in use, I use mine as a local security company to watch over clients properties, so yes different ip's, unfortunately most ppl in my city has older cameras so work via IP : Port, not SN and SmartPSS no longer reads new IP's..handful via SN works but none of the 3 new ones we added... -

Another friend of mine who updated has the same issue, wtf is happening? i reinstalled but the same bug that happened to me 6 years ago happened.... i.e my cams are added but the USER/PASSWORD section is COMPLETELY BLANK... -

you seem to be connected via Local IP, (via LAN) not actual IP, now add an actual IP you know is a dahua cam that runs on 37777 and see if it reads it..since not every cam can be added via DDNS or even P2P, Ip is the only solution and if SmartPSS won't read it, not much i can do..no issues with...
