    You should use peer to peer (P2P) access with the serial number of the camera. Using the URL of the camera with port forwarding will only work with your home Wi-Fi. Below shows my settings in the Amcrest ViewPro app, Device manager

    Config files not saving

    I’m using an iPad Air. My 3 Amcrest camera config files are not saving to my files app like they used to. When I’m in the camera setup I click on download and it appears to save the file but I can’t find it anywhere in the files app.

    I am looking to trade an Amcrest IP camera for the IP8M-DT3949EW-3AI. I am willing to trade either an IP8M-VD2893EW-AI or IP4M-1098-AI. These were only used for testing. I don’t need PTZ. I’d rather have no zoom and have 4K@30 fps. I’m in NJ near Philly.

    What dash cam are you using?

    I have the low priced TBI Pro from Amazon. It works quite well. The 60fps at 1080P is why I bought it.

    I have the TBI Pro Dash Cam from Amazon. It’s inexpensive, and the 60 FPS makes a big difference.

    I "reverted" back to the September, 2016 software, and the FTP works again. Also, the video files are now saved as MP4 rather than dav. I don't know how that happened, but it's a good thing. I'm still playing with the video detection sensitivity and threshold settings, as well as anti dither...

    Smart move by you. I updated to the latest (April, 2017) firmware, and now I can no longer send files to my FTP site. Other than that, and the fact that the camera won't use MP4 for video, it's been OK.

    I have the Amcrest IP3M-954E. It's only been two months, but I am happy with it. As was previously mentioned in this thread, Internet connection viewers show it as a Dahua.

    I hear you. The product was the US version, but a note in the package indicated not to go to HikVision for software updates or tech support. That bothered me also. I have 3 indoor IP cameras that do not freeze while streaming. Two are wireless and one is connected via Ethernet to my router...

    Thanks. I did check with a different short cable. It's not the wiring. I already returned it via he UPS store. Amazon is great for that. The HikVision picture was beautiful, but the freezing during streaming was a deal breaker for me.
