This is one expensive doorbell ED-525B-WB - even cost more than Ubiquiti Doorbells

In what sense? Video quality? You realize this is a doorbell. Video quality is good to me. Better than the DB1 I came from.

This is one expensive doorbell ED-525B-WB - even cost more than Ubiquiti Doorbells

I purchased this for $281 from Nelly's Security back in November of 2025. That price increase is insane. Looks like some other places have it for >$100 less than the price you mentioned. I spent months trying to find a worthy replacement for the EZVIZ DB1 I was using which would randomly stop...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Respectfully disagree. It all depends how far away someone would be standing. If the doorbell is right next to the door, a person could easily take up the majority of the frame top to bottom. I could do away with 10-20 degrees from the top, but definitely not 45. Additionally, doorbells...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Even with the white, I'm going from 180 to 135 vertical fov. 45 degrees is a lot. I need all 180. Why would manufacturers move away from this?

Thank you for your input! Asking about the transformer makes total sense. No apology necessary. Looks like mine is just over 3 years old. However, this problem has been going on for a long time. Probably since the beginning. I had the RCA version prior (bird destroyed it), and I don't...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

My EZVIZ DB1 occasionally stops responding to button presses and needs to be power cycled to restore proper functionality. I have mechanical chimes. Normally it works no problem. Chimes ring, phone app activates, just like they should. But eventually the doorbell button just does nothing...

    EZVIZ V5.2.4 build 230404 (DB1) RTSP problem

Thank you for this! After I read your post I downloaded and installed EzViz Studio, then navigated to the doorbell's Advanced setting. Immediately after doing that I checked my 3rd party app and the RTSP stream was there again! I never downgraded the firmware or tried any other...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Cool! I had already glued the pieces together to show the doorbell video on my Google displays when someone presses the doorbell using my HA software HomeSeer, IP cam software iSpy (like Blue Iris), and this wonderful little device which doesn't appear to be available anymore: Nexia Z-Wave...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I made use of it with my RCA. There is a trigger in the EZVIZ IFTTT channel for when there is motion detected. A snapshot is also automatically recorded in the app whenever motion is detected. PIR sensors are usually better than analyzing video, plus I don't want to only detect humans. How...

Pretty sure it was standing on the cement ledge next to the doorbell that you can see in the picture of the doorbell.

But that one doesn't have a PIR sensor, does it?

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Checkout what this POS woodpecker did to the PIR sensor on my doorbell. I put electrical tape over the hole to keep moisture out, and low and behold, no more motion events. Now the only thing that shows up in my history log in the app are button presses. Having the onboard PIR sensor always...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I too have the car trigger problem. Does anyone know of a solution? I don't think you would want the device itself recording 24/7. I don't think it can but I'm not sure. You could record the stream 24/7 with a PC app like iSpy (that's what I use) or Blue Iris if you wanted to.

Is anyone using the EZVIZ IFTTT channel? I'm using it in conjunction with the HomeSeer channel. It is slow to respond at best, and takes many minutes at worst. Is this what to expect with IFTTT, or are one of the other two parties to blame for the slowness?
