    While I'm watching remotely, I notice some cameras fluctuate frame rates constantly while some do it every 30 sec, while some stay steady only going up and down 1FPS. What causes this?

    I had the same issue. Changed the IP address, and the camera started working fine. Must be something corrupted for that IP in blue iris somewhere.

    I'm not sure it's a recent change or not. If you add another camera identically in Blue Iris with no changes, it will not add another bitrate (just like a cloned camera).     I found out from a previous post. You need to create a new login account on the IP camera itself for each new connection. Then create a new camera duplicate with the new login for each one.

    I tried duplicating the cameras without either being the clone master, and they both just use one stream. I know there's a way to trick blue iris into processing the one stream as multiples.

    How can I clone one camera stream multiple times to test my blue iris hardware? I would like to see how many cameras my system will take based on different camera configs before it bogs down. It would be much easier to just use one camera, and have blue iris decode the same stream multiple times.

    How quality is the video doing standard 4k/30fps? Based on your review, it should do excellent for night time security as well.

    I want to add that the recorded video when played back does NOT have any dropped frames. Only when viewing live do you notice the frame stutters.

    When running my cams at 4k@30fps on the web interface, there is a drop in framerate from 30fps to 12-15fps (for about a second) then back to 30fps. This repeats about every 7 seconds. I have 20 cameras on my gigabit network which range from 4-8mp, and high end hardware (i9 cpu, 32gb ram, ssd)...
