Developing xm530ai board cams, you wanna help me?

I've got to admit this is an interesting thread. I've always liked the idea of custom firmware! My ctronics cameras are great but they annoy me at the same time lol. I'm following..

    Relay output?

Hi all, I have several Ctronics cameras - two CTIPC-285C and a CTIPC-800C. The 800C is a bit naff compared to the other two but it does have more modern firmware (and you can actually turn off the IR LEDs completely if you want!!). In the HiP2P software and web interface there is an option for...

Camera suggestions for outdoor, no power, no sun, no internet?

So you'll need to drill them then. It's that or you use remote solar panels or stash some large leisure batteries somewhere and keep swapping them out every few days.

Other people can stream your feed.

It was a reference to the original Ghostbusters film where Egon tells his comrades not to cross the streams from their proton packs. Film came out around 1984 ish if memory serves.

256 PRESET LIST for 5MP WIFI PTZ IP CAM 5X Optical Zoom Human Tracking Detection IR Night Vision - Device type C6F0SoZ3N0PdL2

Forgot to say, even the Japanese have had problems working out the presets with these cameras - see this page (you'll need to use chromes translate to english feature): https://note.com/satocamera24/n/ne4a2d4c72654

List of bugs and issues with C6F0SoZ3N0PdL2 IP CAM 5MP WIFI 5X Optical Zoom Human Tracking Detection IR Night Vision - Model: B8D-WIFI-5MP-5X

This isn't a software fault, it's a hardware design woe that can't be corrected in software. Like many robotic systems, these cameras use stepper motors inside. A microchip will send out pulses to turn the motor - as far as that chip and the software running it is concerned, 1 pulse forward...

256 PRESET LIST for 5MP WIFI PTZ IP CAM 5X Optical Zoom Human Tracking Detection IR Night Vision - Device type C6F0SoZ3N0PdL2

There's several differing variations of the IR and LED layouts but going by that device type, it's the same as the Ctronics CTIPC-285C (and probably the CTIPC-285C-Z4 too). Nice work figuring out those presets too - I stumbled on 65 (1-8) and 87 (L-R) via google purely by accident for another...

How often do you move cameras?

Whenever I want to see what's going on outside but can't be bothered walking to the window.. Joking aside, only when we moved house a few years back did I take down the one camera we had in a shared car park. Haven't put it back up permanently anywhere but instead bought two more, clamped one...

    Webcam replacement options

Have you thought about using an FTP to SFTP bridge like couchdrop? - There are probably others too as the web is full of people offering similar things. A bridge would allow your camera to connect via FTP and that connection would then cause the FTP server to open a SFTP connection to the...

Newb needs help putting a system together

Just to add my own thoughts.. I use Ctronics cameras. I have 2x CTIPC-285C but they have other cameras available from Ctronics Security Camera | Ctronics®official site My two aren't perfect, sometimes video can lag a bit but they have a web interface, two different apps (ctronics and ctronics...

Hi Been a few years since I last asked about this... but now I have a second one and I really want to get into this camera via telnet! Anyone got any methods to crack this one? - I've downloaded the bin file and it's full of config / ini files but that's it - no scripts etc mentioned on...

    Hi from England!

Hi guys! I bought a van a while back, not long after i had the gypsies round asking if it was for sale (they just established a new site down the road). Told them no but had a few more visitors randomly turn up.. Put a disklok on it, that's already thwarted one theft attempt.. Now put up a...
