I look at this MAGA thing differently, that I'm still MAGA but Trump left it shortly after the 2nd term started.
Fair. But we know now it was a sales pitch. Fake. A con.
I use the term primarily for cult followers who even now, with all that is out there about Trumps unashamed outright corruption, consistent almost pathological lying, stupid and costly ME war, ignoring of the deteriorating economy, insulting and distancing practically every ally, pardons for convicted big time fraud criminals while promising to curb fraud, blatant over the top narcissism, and decisions that get walked back due to inept and self-dealing leadership, … still clap like trained seals when he says something like “dumocrats”. As if somehow that negates all of the rest.
That’s early teen thinking based on emotion and the lies that somehow Trump alone can magically take us all back to 1956 prosperity if we just trust the plan and get rid of anyone not Anglo Saxon white.
As he gets bolder his sheer disdain for average Americans is showing almost daily. He thinks you’re stupid. (See the last dozen or two posts) Example: He actually put out a post today portraying himself as a “RINO” killer, then hours later pumps up Lindsey Graham as the second coming.
I don’t believe the country will survive his Presidency. I mean that the anti-Constitutional precedents and corruption that he’s set, the complete International relations failure, and the gutting of many of the essential services of government, let alone his head in the sand approach to our economy, will reverberate for the next 10-20 years in a very bad way.
There’s absolutely nothing good about him or where he’s taking the country.
It’s like an old tired rerun of the Lone Ranger where it ends happily ever after for all involved if you just believe, then the show’s over and nothing has changed. Instead it’s a make believe Presidency full of promises that no sane person believes and one liner teenage rhetoric to try to
appear strong in place of intelligent thoughtful strong leadership.
GI Joe meets Call of Duty seems to be the desired rally cry for those pathetic souls who cling on to some lost fantasy of “the way it used to be” and to give meaning to their empty vision of America before the Internet exposed the whole ugly truth.
