BI6 instability after latest Windows 11 update

Thanks for all the replies guys. I think I found my issue. I think the windows updates were fully coincidental and the issue was actually caused by a corrupt file system on my BI data drive. It appears that Blue Iris was unable to save clips and I'm assuming it ended up buffering them in RAM...

BI6 instability after latest Windows 11 update

My system suddenly became very unstable. The only thing that appears to have changed is that there was a windows 11 update last night. Has anyone else seen issues? Below is the update which happened.

    Version 6

Yeah, I love the AI on V6. I just upgraded a few days ago. My LPR camera now reads plates with pretty much 100% accuracy now.

    AI detection for thermal cams

That is true. I only have the "isinside" rule set to trigger however.

    AI detection for thermal cams

We have the same camera. I’m filtering for people in the camera settings but raccoons were setting off the IVS rule.

    AI detection for thermal cams

Really appreciate this Mike. I’ll work on gathering some jpegs.

    AI detection for thermal cams

OK! I'll see what I can do. I'll get a mixture of my dog, coyote and foxes, I'm sure they'll all be very similar on the thermal.

    AI detection for thermal cams

That would be amazing! Do individual frames of a video count as images? It would probably take me quite awhile to gather those. Here's another example of my dog walking, which BI6 AI doesn't pick up.

    AI detection for thermal cams

Here's a link to the video of the coyotes. BI motion detection obviously picks them up, but the AI doesn't identify the animals.

    AI detection for thermal cams

I have the 3/4mm empiretech camera. I'll try to post the video that the camera is unable to properly detect some coyotes. I'm thinking they're maybe too far away.

    AI detection for thermal cams

Hey Everyone; I've got a thermal camera setup with BI running AI. It will detect people when they are close enough but at distances it doesn't seem to pick them up. I tried using the IVS based AI but I get too many false positives with animals. Are there any AI models which are good with...

    OMG Thermal!

Nevermind! I found it under the AI settings.

    OMG Thermal!

Hey guys, I just setup an Empiretech thermal camera. I was wondering if there was a way to turn off the hot spot dot? I'm trying to setup motion detection on the thermal channel and it keeps triggering with the dot bouncing around.

Full ALPR Database System for Blue Iris!

This all sounds great! Not sure if what you're planning on could detect the following scenario? We recently had some people break into a neighbors house. A couple of them were on foot and the getaway vehicle was driving back and forth waiting to pick them up. Would there be someway of flagging...

AI analysis not stopping when target if’s

Thank you, I'll check it out. Need to read the documentation! It's interesting that you need to specify it to stop analyzing if detected, I would have thought that would be default behaviour. Sometimes I see that it does stop, but not all the time.

AI analysis not stopping when target if’s

I’m using CPAI to identify people. I have the AI configured so that it does up to 15 analysis at 500ms intervals when triggered. I’ve noticed that quite often even if a person is identified earlier it will continue to analyze frames and take longer to generate the alert. Has anyone noticed this...

    AI detecting people vs dogs/foxes

Thanks for your sharing your experience. On these problematic cameras, i have it set to filter and look for people only. I'm surprised it's identifying my dog as a person a lot of the time. I've tweaked the settings on my cameras, giving them a bit more contrast etc. to see if it helps.

    AI detecting people vs dogs/foxes

Yes, I always leave the min/max size alone, unless there's a specific issue. I'll see if I can tune the cam settings a bit as well.

    AI detecting people vs dogs/foxes

I've dialed the cameras settings in somewhat. I'm running a manual shutter and capping the duration of the shutter. For IVS, I've never had much luck configuring the global setting. When I try to use the ruler after the calibration it always ends up coming up with something that's way off what...

    IVS on 5442

So to wrap this up; I ended up using trip wires for one area and an intrusion zone for the other and was able to achieve what i wanted. Thanks to all for all the help.

    AI detecting people vs dogs/foxes

Hey there; I've been working on dialing in my system for awhile now and the one issue I have currently is trying to get AI to differentiate between a person and a dog or fox. About 50% or more of the time my AI detection will identify a dog or fox as a person. I'm using both Dahua IVS and...

    IVS on 5442

It's interesting. Every time I run a find/inspect on the camera, whatever BI does, it ends up enabling the motion and tampering feature on the camera. If I can't get this going, I think I'm just going to give in and do one inclusion zone and mark the other area up with trip wires.... Then as...

    IVS on 5442

Thanks Wittaj. I totally get all that and appreciate you writing all of that. In my case however, the camera spits out Rule="000" for every rule that triggers. None of the names make it into the .xml and neither do any sort of number that helps me identify the rule that was triggered.

    IVS on 5442

For the last .xml data that I posted above these are my settings on the camera. The tripwire has a name and the 2 intrusion zones have names, but as you can see in the .xml both are listed as "000"

    IVS on 5442

I want to have 2 different intrusion zones ideally. I just added the trip wire for testing. With 2 different intrusion zones, I can't see anything that would help me differentiate those triggers. I'm running the final version of BlueIris v5. I've tried renaming the rules, but all that ever...

whats latest firmware for 5442 cams?

Wittaj, I appreciate the advice. It is the camera I'm having issues with IVS rules. The rules are triggering, it's just not sending any specific information via ONVIF. Everything seems to be Rule="000" I can try a factory reset and see if it gets better.....
