    If you have a current support plan you can upgrade to V6, I don't believe that you can do the V5 to 6 upgrade from within V5. The highly recommended way is to download the V6 full install from the BI web site and then install it, do not remove V5 before you install V6!

    What brand of mouse? Perhaps if there is special mouse software, try to uninstall it and use the built in windows mouse drivers, I have a vague recollection of a similar problem that was linked to the mouse software!

    Are your recordings in the native BVR format, I was not aware that VLC could play BVR video files properly, or have you exported the videos to another format?

    I also would like to also suggest that rather than try to get everything working all at once, you try just object detection and not bother with license plates and faces, unless you like the throw the kitchen sink at it approach!

    Yes I am using the current release version 6.06.4 with the integrated AI, you do realize that the more object you ask it to find the longer it takes to process each request you are up to 5,000 ms near the end mine are under 1,690 ms!

    Well I can confirm that BI does get it's time from the Computer time, and it does require that the BI service be restarted for it to change in BI, so if your BI time is off then somehow your computer time is also off, that is my take on your issue!

    Asking specific questions in my estimation are better than asking for help setting up everything, I think people are more inclined to provide help when they see that the person is actively trying to do it themself and has just gotten stuck on some specific issue! Just my two cents!:)

    You could try switching to a local account and ditch the Microsoft login pin, it could be that the account that is starting the service has no authority until the login process is completed. Or perhaps just adding a local admin account that is used to start the service will also work!
