    Thanks for the tips. The matrix only handles CVBS correctly but even CVI and AHD show as scrambled signals. There is no setting to disable smart features as it is an ANPR camera so could not check that. The cable simply outputs no signal. No switch found in camera either unfortunately. Sad.

    Thanks much for the reply. Are those Dahua or Hik cameras? As this is an ANPR camera I believe that some smart function would be on all the time. But I will check if I can turn them off to see what happens.

    Belated but thanks very much for answering. I tried your suggestion on Pelco D and 2400 baud. unfortunately no luck yet. I do believe it is a bug built into the camera firmware. My cable run (testing) is about 25ft. Other cameras work on the same set up (Pelco Matrix). Even a Dahua CVI PTZ works...

    Firmware for DAHUA SD-6AE830VNI 8MP IR PTZ

    Anyone have any clues where I can get the latest firmware for the above mentioned Dahua SD6AE830VNI 8MP PTZ? The unit pans and tilts and zooms but will only do one of these at a time and not simultaneously. It seems like a firmware issue I think. Any advice would be highly appreciated. Stone
