Here my equipment:
So, I have my Hikvision cameras integrated into Scrypted via the Hikvision plugin. My cameras record in HKSV and it all works for the most parts. I dont have return audio, but thats another topic.
In order for HKSV to record, the camera needs a motion sensor. As much as I understood I can get this motion sensor from the camera but also from the NVR. At the moment it is configured that the NVR provides this motion sensor. But when I switch it to the camera then it does no longer record. And I think this is somehow connected to the fact that my to way audio doesn't work either.
Please stick to the topic. I do know that I have recordings also in the NVR. I like the ease of access using HomeKit to access my cameras because its literally a swipe away, on my TV etc
Has someone experience with a similar configuration?
