I got 3 cameras IP2M-841B-V3. Two of them go to PTZ preset 1 (or close to it) after e reboot, the 3rd goes anywhere, not where I like it to go. So it always needs to be repositioned. Am I correct that preset 1 is supposed to be the home position? I cannot find anything about it in the manual... -

Meanwhile I thought I could replace the blurry cam under the roof overhang with the one in my garage, that still shows a good image. After 20 minutes on a 4 meter ladder this was done and after cleaning the lens of the camera, most of the blur (if not all) is gone. Anyway it is good enough for...- Rapido

Problem with Amcrest is, they are not represented in Germany. 4 years ago, I had to order the IP2M-841B-V3 in the US. :rolleyes:- Rapido

Thank you. Ethernet is available and preferred. WiFi might work as well. No NVR. The camera observes the house door and sends clips to the NAS, when motion is detected. For occasional instant views I use the Onvier app or the PC browser. The IP2M-841B-V3 already has a slightly too wide view...- Rapido

I have an Amcrest indoor camera IP2M-841B-V3 mounted outside under the roof overhang. There it is protected from sun and rain, nevertheless the image got blurry after 4 years. I noticed this morning, that all my 3 IP2M-841B-V3 stopped recording at the beginning of March within a period of about one week. They all upload pictures and videos via ftp to my NAS. That used to work reliably for years. I gave each cam a reboot and meanwhile each cam has created a folder... -
Amcrest 841 V1 or V2 new 2024 Firmware
There is also new FW for V3. I installed it on my 3 IP2M-841B-V3 w/o problems. -

Late reply ... but do you have a micro SD card in that cam? I had similar problems an it turned out that it was by a corrupt SD card. Once removed, camera was fine. -

Not what you asked for but ...: Three years ago I replaced my no longer supported Hootoo Cams with three Amcrest IP2M-841-V3. I use the Onvier App for occasional live view and ftp clips to the NAS when motion is detected. Retrieving the clips is cumbersome and takes time. Then on Amazon Prime...
