    Tried once again recently and even updated to the latest nvr version. Still will not find my nvr ip even when logged into openvpn on my phone. The app works fine on my computer while on openvpn. Anyone else having issues?

    I am attempting to log into my NVR via the DMSS app and it's not taking the IP when I am attempting to add it as a local device. Do I need to create an online account to have the app work? I know in older versions this was not required.

    thanks! I have a Synology NAS, any downsides from using their Surveillance station feature? Going this route would require that I buy a separate poe switch.

    Thanks for the quick reply! Haven't checked the power supply cable, is that common. No beep, no light. I'll clean out the fan and look for a battery as well.

    would creating a dahua account and logging into it create a security issue even if the NVR is on its own VLAN?
