    The official "WTF" thread

Unfortunately, the big cities have the power to make the decisions for the rest of the state. Many of those decisions may not or cannot apply to a smaller or rural communities due to logistics and other things, but they force it anyway. And they want to do away with the Electoral College. Doing...

    The official "WTF" thread

Far as I'm concerned, the three west coast states aren't part of the US. They can't be - they are so anti-American. That, or the mental patients are running the asylum Either way, have no interest in stepping foot in those states.

    Another B52IR Z12 failing

I can see that, but there is another camera right below this one and it is working fine for almost 2 years now. The 2 junction boxes have a short PVC coupler between them. If it was that, the camera on the bottom (overview camera), I think, would be more susceptible to the issue

    Another B52IR Z12 failing

The cables come in via conduit on the left side and there are holes drilled straight through and at 90 degrees. The 90-degree conduit (seen on the left) is recessed into the PVC and caulked liberally.

B52IR-Z12B. It is the web 5.0 GUI

    Another B52IR Z12 failing

Ok, I am unaware how to set that up. Is it done on the camera itself, the NVR or combination of the two?

    Another B52IR Z12 failing

I don't understand how water is finding its way in. I completely sealed the box with caulk and the box has it's original seal as well

    Another B52IR Z12 failing

While the picture on the post is older showing only one cam to the right, there are now 2 cameras there now. The second pic is of the setup on the bench. It replaces the white Turret cam on the right

    Another B52IR Z12 failing

Yeah, I would think the same as far as 3 failing. And they were all installed at different locations. Regarding the motion, I think because it has been really windy here today and the sun keeps getting blocked by the clouds. The MD picks both of those up. I have to run MD because the LPR cams...

    Another B52IR Z12 failing

Dielectric grease and glands inside junction boxes that were sealed with caulk. I have not had the chance to go out and climb the ladder, but if water was able to intrude with 4 levels of protection, I would guess the camera has a problem or there's nothing I can do to prevent water intrusion...

    Another B52IR Z12 failing

These are mounted to a post which is attached to our fence, so they are out in the open, no cover whatsoever.

    Another B52IR Z12 failing

There are threads in here somewhere about them. Good luck finding them. They were shot. Deadsville I don't have a good track record with them so far

    Another B52IR Z12 failing

As the title says, another B52IR-Z12 is giving up the ghost. This is the 3rd one since last year. It's fine and then goes black and comes back on. The off time varies - from a few seconds up to a minute. The recording timeline verifies that the camera stops outputting a signal as the timeline...

    2025 New Arrivals From EmpireTech

I could definitely, absatutly say that is something - possibly humanoid in nature.

    2025 New Arrivals From EmpireTech

It's just as humid here in Florida. I have a mini ptz dome since 2020 and it still works fine. It is under an eave on the corner of the house

    2025 New Arrivals From EmpireTech

This camera would be a good candidate to cover a front door situation like you mentioned, but really wouldn't be of good use in the open because the zoom is short Would be great if it had at least 12X zoom, but I suspect the form factor would be a bit larger to accommodate the larger sensor and...

    The official "WTF" thread

What's with the age restrictions now? This just happened on my end in the last week. And they want me to upload a selfie or worse yet, my ID or credit card to verify my age? GTFO - Not from me. As the saying goes: There's more than one way to skin a cat

    RF Detector?

Waiting for the RF analyzer. In the meantime, whatever is causing the odd behavior, it's definitely local since the NVR is not connected to the net. A one in a million chance it is a failing NVR, but I doubt it as I don't think a failing NVR would either choose camera one from the available...

    RF Detector?

The old saying, "never underestimate your enemy", holds true here. I have no idea what he is capable of. I have to presume the worst and hope for the best. A little investigative work goes a long way to collecting actual evidence. I'll update when I have made some scans.

    RF Detector?

No wireless components in the NVR/camera system. And the NVR and cameras are not connected to the network or internet. It is a standalone system. I really believe it is directed RF energy causing the random issues. I say this because my movie film capture machine started dropping frames as of...

    RF Detector?

Ok, he seems to be targeting the NVR and cameras. Doesn't seem like anything else has issues. I'm not sure what spectrum would cause issues with the camera system. Sometimes, I turn on the monitor, and the NVR is on a single camera instead of the camera overview screen, other times it is on the...

    RF Detector?

It's a long story. But I'll see if I can summarize. Back in 2018/2019 neighbors were friendly to the wife and I. The same guy that is giving me trouble now, played the victim that his next-door neighbor was doing what I suspect him of doing now (starting to see the picture?). Those two had...

    RF Detector?

Yeah, I've dealt with the FCC before back in 2020. If you have no evidence, they don't want anything to do with it. This is why I would like to verify if RF is being emitted and where it might be coming from. If I can find a unit to monitor rf in real time, it would show activity that may...

    RF Detector?

It's going take some time to go through the options on Amazon. Seems like many of the detectors are geared toward finding bugs and spy cameras. I want to sniff out signals from 100 feet or so. Frequencies from Khz to Ghz. It would be nice to have a real-time monitor of RF activity so I could...

    RF Detector?

This is the same guy who has 6 IR panels on his fence pointing as us. Since I'm running in color, they don't make any difference to us. He does NOT want us to have cameras which captures any part of his property. The guy never leaves the house since last year. He really needs to see someone...

    RF Detector?

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I have a feeling our property is being bombarded with RF to jam/interfere with electronics in our dwelling. I can see a large coil of wire leaning against the fence at the neighbor's house across the way facing us. That is relatively new addition. There has been...

    RF Detector?

Any frequency that would interfere with the normal operation of electronics equipment. Possibly 1Mhz to 3Ghz?
