I have an HP Elitedesk running BI. It's set up with two NICs. One has access to the internet, the other does not. I also have two switches, each connected to it's own NIC on the PC. My cameras are connected to the switch without Internet access. The other switch allows connection of numerous other things needing the internet. I have a wifi access point connected to the switch (which is connected to the NIC that does not have internet access). This allows me to view cameras from a dedicated google pixel tablet connected to this wifi access point. It works perfectly when viewing cameras from my home without allowing the cameras to access the internet.

I'd like to access the cameras remotely while traveling and I'm looking for the best way to do this. How do you folks access secure cameras without giving them internet access?

Thanks!

My router has VPN server capabilities. When out-n-about I access my router with a VPN client (openVPN). Once connected, I am able to access my BI system as if I was at home
