Hi all. I'm a maintenance manager at a heavily wooded campground in central NJ. Mgmt has asked me to put together a plan to buy and install security cameras because of vandalism issues. There will be three zones being monitored so three full sets of cameras, wireless router and NVR hardware. Sorry I'm new to this universe of acronyms and technology so your patience is appreciated.
Also note that due to corporate spending limits, no single purchase of hardware can exceed $500 incl tax and shipping, but I can do as many purchases as needed over the summer/fall. Ideally a mix of 2K cams for the indoor cams and 3K or 4K for most of the outdoor ones, with NVRs with local monitor/screen and remote (phone) access. We do have roads throughout the campground and we should be able to utilize these roads to link the three zones via wireless bridges.
Zone 1 : Camp store/entrance utilizing local Starlink wifi network connection (Gen 3). Anticipating needing 5 PoE cameras (2 inside, 3 outside) and 1--2 wireless IP cams with solar mounted 10--20 yards from main bldg. NVR and router
Zone 2 : Pool/Lounge/Laundry approx 200 yards from camp store, no direct LOS but can string back-to-back hops to get the Starlink network back there. Anticipating needing 2 PoE cams and up to 5 wireless with solar cams --- spread between 3 buildings. NVR, router
Zone 3 : Bathhouse3 approx 130 yards from zone 2, no direct LOS but can string back-to-back hops to get the Starlink network there, Anticipating needing 3 PoE cams and 3 wireless with solar cams, NVR. router
Not too sure yet on the specs needed to link the Gen 3 router (which has 2 ethernet ports included) to the router and NVR for the camp store surveillance area, and the wireless bridge hardware. I've seen that I'll need other hardware such as a "web smart PoE switch" and an Ethernet Adapter, a PoE injector etc. Any guidance on specs would be much appreciated.
Feel free to ask any questions and I'll answer as best I can. What sort of hardware list recommended? (Remembering that each order has to be under the $500 cap). Thank you all in advance! Eager for any and all input. Sorry I'm learning all this stuff on the fly.
