Looking to switch to BI

I'm currently using a DHI-NVR5464 with 45 cameras (32 running IVS rules) at 10fps @ highest resolution.

What's the experts recommend for PC specs to run this setup? Memory, processor speed, etc. Sorry for a basic question, but I'm new to BI. I researched this for a bit but still unsure exactly what's needed. TIA

Look in the WiKi, in the blue bar at the top of the page. There's a whole section for selecting hardware in there. Do it on a real computer, not a tablet or phone.

i'm a novice here, but an expert guided me towards an HP Elitedesk g4-800 i5-8500. for about 20 cameras. works fine, with WD purp drive,

you'll probably want an i7 8th gen or newer with 2 of the higher rotational speed "WD-PURZ" 7200 rpm Drives

My other machine is the Dell precision 3630 tower and it has bays for 3-3.5 inch spinning rust drives. And an onboard NVME M.2 slot. Bios limit of like 4 or 5Sata devices.
I’m streaming 11 cams with that. And it’s using 3-5% CPU.

You dont indicate the cameras MP count which is important. With that many cams you want a good amount of headroom particularly if you will be using software AI with blue iris.

10FPS and bitrate 6144. VBR
