I was attempting to add a 8mp hikvision turbohd (coax) camera to my dvr.
Using allready strung coax/power wire. But first I used the same type / length wire just to see how/if it would work . Attached it will display but I get a scrolling bar. I detached the power side of the cable and attached it directly to the power supply (bypassing the 100 ft cable) but with the 100 feet of coax still attached. and it displays fine. Measuring the voltage at the ps and at the end of the 100 foot cable, they both measure 12.1 v. I am assuming still a power drop once attached to the camera. I'm thinking of trying an adjustable ps and set it too 13v and see if that fixes it. What do you think ?
