After many years of working, my XVR4104C by Dahua started showing an issue: it started beeping. The webUI shows the error No HDD.

A broken HDD could be the cause after many year of continuous activity, so I purchased a fresh new SATA WD Purple 1TB HDD. However, the issue of No HDD is still present after replacing the HDD.

I tried the new HDD on a desktop PC and it seems working perfectly. I tried to replaced SATA cable, without success. I couldn't try another power cable, because it is Dahua custom and I don't have another one.

Any suggestion on what happend? The firmware is the original one, so it's very old. I don't know if a firmware upgrade could solve the HDD issue, maybe before replacing the DVR it's worth a try. Do you know where I can find the new firmware of XVR4104C?

I think every Dahua NVR I've used formatted the disk by itself on startup?

THE ISSUE CAMES FROM the power source of the XVR wich doesnt supply enough ampers try to change it with a 12 volts 2 AMPERS OR MORE AMPERS
12 V 5 AMP
please give a feed back
