1/1.2" 8MP Varifocal

I thought the future of Dahua cameras being shipped into the US was uncertain, even for Empiretech?

I have Ubiquiti networking gear, and I've also had Dahua cameras for many years now. I would gladly stay with Dahua cameras if I thought their future in the US was stable. I've been extremely impressed with Dahua. But, I also like the interface of Unifi Protect better after adding some of my Dahuas as onvif cameras there. I guess I'm a fanboy of each company.

I've own many different brand of cameras in the past from no name brands to big name Wifi cameras while learning about security cameras in the past, Andy's cameras is still the best Bang for the buck with both quality and pricing.

Until Andy no longer sell cameras here, I will stick with his cameras as long as I can. I don't want to buy into another ecosystem and learning all over again.

Definitely understand that. I'm just upgrading at the wrong time it seems. I won't be ripping and replacing all at once. But, I don't want to be 6 months in, then not be able to get Dahua cams. If Dahua cam future in the US was as certain as Ubiquiti, then I'd almost definitely stay with Dahua. But, I don't really want to take that chance given the recent instability. Ubiquiti seems to be making pretty good advances in their camera game. It's unfortunate that Dahua isn't (at least in the US market).

Dahua OEM or Hikvision OEM IP Cameras with larger sensors are my preferred option.

If the US stops imports completely, then not certain what I would get instead

I got the impression that it doesn't sucks if you never own 5442 and compared to it side by side like many of the members here can.
I replaced a fixed focal 5442 S2 with a fixed focal 54 PRO, and think its image is a wee bit better. I run it as if it was a 5442, not using the white lights or any of the new features. I also don't use its built in IR lights, using the same external illuminator as with the 5442. The only thing worse about it for me is the larger size. Its small image improvement is not enough for me to replace any more of the 5442s, just not worth the $.
